Being a photographer is one of the best jobs in the world!  We get to capture all sorts of really cool and special moments and as wedding photographer’s we are entrusted to capture the most important day in a couples lives.  Just a few weeks ago I was asked to capture what is probably the second most important day in any man’s life next to marrying his wife…his Proposal!  When John first contacted me, I thought I was going to be hiding in the bushes somewhere photographing from a distance as the magic happened, but as it turns out, John was the one hiding in the bushes!

You see, Sheva thought John was out of town on business and that she and her girlfriend were attending an extremely exclusive & underground dinner at Malibu Wines called Wolvesmouth.  Little did she know that John, along with his and her family were there hiding behind the bushes to give her the surprise of a lifetime.  As Sheva arrived to the “Dinner” I welcomed her to “Wolvesmouth” and asked to take a few portraits of her before she was escorted to the dinner (all part of Johns plan) and then…………. She said yes!!! and the rest is history.

I can’t tell you how much fun I had capturing such a special day for this newly engaged couple.  It was extremely romantic and beautiful!  Here are a few of my favorite shots, I hope you enjoy!  Congratulations on your engagement Sheva and John!

I had another awesome shoot in Colorado a few weeks ago at the beautiful Castle Cliff Estate!  Kirsten and Karl came dressed to impress and despite last minute location changes due to the crazy weather, they were still in great spirits and so much fun to work with.  These two have wonderful chemistry together and I’m excited to shoot their wedding this summer.  Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Two weeks ago I had an amazing engagement session with an even more amazing couple that I’ve been dying to share.   Sarah and John have been visiting the Trippet Ranch area of Topanga State Park for the last 5 years; hiking, mountain biking, and in this case having a romantic sun lit picnic.    We started our adventure in the eclectic city of Topanga and then ventured up to Trippet Ranch for the beautiful scenery that has these two coming back year after year.  We had a great time and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer!

When Victoria and Matt asked me to photograph their engagement session in January, I initially thought it would be a snowy wintery session since we were shooting in Colorado.  However, it was actually quite the opposite!  It was a beautiful day and almost 60 degrees!  By the way, did I mention this is in Colorado and in January?  We shot at the Garden of The Gods in Colorado Springs and it truly lives up to its name.   Victoria and Matt are an amazing, easy going couple and Lucy (their beagle) was the sweetest little thing, she even arrived all styled out in her Louis Vuitton collar and leash.  Shooting their engagement session was a blast and a great way to start off the new year!  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this summer at the Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa in Tabernash, Co.
